The Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island is a non-profit service organization which serves local and international communities through projects focused on improving the lives of others.  The club is looking for a paid staff member to support our Officers and Board of Directors.
The Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island (RCBI) is a non-profit service organization and part of Rotary International which serves local and international communities through projects focused on improving the lives of others.  RCBI is looking for an individual to support its Board and Officers to this end.
 
This independent contractor must have strong experience using Microsoft Office products, be highly organized, and be able to manage details. They must have a laptop and printer and be able to quickly learn web-based applications used in e-filing Club documents and performing background checks. Knowledge of Robert’s Rules of Order, strong research skills, and familiarity with assembling documents in various formats into one document are helpful.
 
Duties include:
  • Taking Board meeting minutes
  • Entering attendance and make ups into the Club’s online database
  • Maintaining current Club documents in the online database and archive old documents
  • Assembling welcome kits for new members
  • Running background checks
  • Ordering supplies throughout the year and awards at the end of the fiscal year
  • Completing IRS forms and letters to people who donated cars and boats to the annual Auction and Rummage Sale.
 
Minimum requirements:
  • High school graduation or equivalent and four years of office or administrative support.
 
Other requirements:
  • Ability to attend early evening monthly board meetings
  • Attention to accuracy, thoroughness, and following procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication.
 
Time required would average about 15 hours a week, slightly more at the end of the fiscal year. As an independent contractor, there would be no benefits. Starting hourly rate is $20.
