Where Do Auction & Rummage Sale Proceeds Go?

Any qualified nonprofit organization that serves the Bainbridge Island community is eligible to apply for a community grant from the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island. Each year grant funding is made possible from the preceding year’s Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale proceeds. Your donations to the Auction & Rummage Sale are at work doing great things for the people of Bainbridge Island!

2022 – 2023 Grants
Awarded in 2023 as a result of our 2022 Auction, the following grants were given to community organizations. The  amount of grants awarded  totaled $170,000the most we have ever given.  Here are the recipients:

  1. Knights Community Hospital Equipment Lend Program( KCHELP): Industrial steam cleaner.

     

     

  2. YWCA of Kitsap County: Partial funding of a new roof.

     

     

  3. Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA): Assisted listening device for  auditorium.

     

     

  4. Housing Resources Board (HRB): HVAC Equipment at HRB Housing.

     

     

  5. Bainbridge Youth Services (BYS): Six new computers

     

     

  6. Bainbridge Island Historical Museum: Glare blinds for the museum lobby.

     

     

  7. Amabile Choir of Bainbridge: Concert sheet music

     

     

  8. Bainbridge Schools Foundation: wireless devices for credit card donations.

     

     

  9. Islandwood: Field Research Equipment

     

     

  10. Kitsap Humane Society: Animal control vehicle

     

     

  11. Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN): Two serger sewing machines

     

     

  12. Island Volunteer Caregivers (IVC): Computer equipment upgrades

     

     

  13. Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center: Partial funding for bus hybrid-electric drivetrain upgrade.

     

     

  14. Bainbridge Island Saddle Club: Restroom upgrades.

     

     

  15. Vitalize Kitsap: Computer equipment upgrades.

     

     

  16. Odyssey Parent Teacher Organization: Partial funding of Playground improvements.

     

     

  17. West Sound Treatment Center: Two vocational training workstations.

     

     

  18. Scarlett Road: Custom Cabinetry

     

     

  19. Peacock Family Services: Playground fencing and shade/rain coverings.

     

     

  20. Helpline House: Two door freezer.

     

     

  21. Stella Maris Center: Computer equipment, furniture and flooring.

     

     

  22. North Kitsap Fishline: Food Bank annex door replacement.

     

     

  23. Bainbridge Island child Care Centers: Outdoor lighting.

     

     

  24. Ovation! Musical Theatre Bainbridge: Music pedal and twelve music stands.

     

     

  25. Friends of the Farm: Partial funding for accessible pathways

     

     

  26. Kids Discovery Museum: Computer, monitor and printer upgrades.

     

     

  27. KidVantage: 60 car seats for babies and young children.

     

     

  28. Marge Williams Center: New roof solar panels.

     

     

  29. Boys & Girls Club of Bainbridge Island: All purpose table.

     

     

  30. Bainbridge Island Rowing: Partial funding of coaching launch boat.

     

     

  31. Friends of Bainbridge Island High School Sailing: Partial funding for a double handed sailboat.

     

     

  32. Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center: Office security cameras and sensors.

     

     

  33. Assistance Dogs Northwest: Dog training and agility equipment.

     

     

  34. Bainbridge Island Water Polo Club: Mini wireless water polo scoreboard.
